Ever heard of the "Peanut Capital of the
World"? Located in the Southest corner of Alabama, I was born and raised. Growing up as a southern girl, I have always had
a love for the outdoors. I longed for everyday that my dad would take me to the lake or pond to catch a few brim. As I got
a little older, my family and I would spend afternoons not only on the boat, but on jetskis: tubing, kneeboarding, and skiing;
but don't jump to the conclusion that I am a complete "tom boy" because I am far from that. At the age of four, my mom encouraged
me to take clogging. For the next 13 years, I competively competed in various dance competions, recieving anything from
savings bonds to scholarships. Even today, dance is still one of the biggest parts of my life. I also competed in pageants
starting at the age of five. I gained a lot of self confidence, social skills, and stage presence from pagaents. I won many
of them and was awarded scholardship money. Over the past few years, I have taught myself how to play the acoustic guitar
and keyboard which are two of my favorite hobbies. As a freshman at the University of South Alabama, I decided to
rush a sorority. Little did I know, that Chi Omega would be one of the best things in life. My sorority sisters have become
my best friends, most of them being Christians like myself. I knew from the first moment I met these girls that God had placed
them in my life for a reason. I am also a Southerner on campus, which is a sixteen member group of students who work closely
with the alumni association. This is a very prestigious honor to have been chosen out of so many people. With two jobs,
one on campus selling moving tickets and the other one working at the senior citizens center, and being involved in many student
organizations, it can be hard to find free time; however, when I do find free time, I love to shop, hang out with my
friends, and spend time with my family. I have two amazing, loving parents and a wonderful brother who I would not trade
for the world. I adore my three pets: my cat, Boo Boo and my two dogs, Bam Bam and Brasky. Although I love these things and
people dearly, my biggest interest is Jesus Christ.
